Background

We (team of 4 people) participated in Dehradun design hackathon in 2023. Out of 6 themes, we chose the “Promote cultural heritage and tourism.”

Preserving the art and tourism of VARANASI

Participated in-

#1 Design process >/< time constraints

For academic projects, we have enough time to follow a certain process. But participating in hackathon made me realize the emphasis on prioritizing steps. Secondary tasks are handled in the back of the mind, a skill that develops with experience.

#2 Presentation skills is a do or a die game.

Since it was an online medium basis, we were supposed to send a presentation of our concept. Hackathon provided an opportunity to improve our ability to communicate our ideas clearly.

Participated in hackathon for the first time, the pressure and excitement was real.
